Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Milaap (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Description of service

Milaap provides a white-label community platform that enables Organisations to create branded websites, manage memberships, publish events and news, and communicate with their communities. Organisations are responsible for their own content and their members' data.

3. Accounts and access

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised account use
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam)
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or data
• Use the Service to facilitate fraud or illegal activities
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
• Reverse-engineer or copy the platform without our written consent

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you upload (logos, posts, event descriptions, member data). By uploading content, you grant Milaap a limited licence to host, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Plans and billing

Milaap offers Free, Starter, and Pro plans. Features available at each plan tier are described on the Pricing page. Plan fees, billing cycles, and refund policies are described at checkout. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, which we will announce in advance where possible. We are not liable for damages arising from downtime.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion, unless required by law to retain it longer.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Milaap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
